Prostatic mucinous adenocarcinoma: A Cowper gland carcinoma mimicker

Abstract

A mucinous adenocarcinoma of the prostate was evaluated ultrastructurally, histochemically, and biochemically in an effort to evaluate its possible morphologic origin, source of mucin production, and reason for failure of response to endocrine manipulations usually effective in treatment of prostatic carcinomas.
