Dr. Mohammad Fahim Kadir is a dedicated educator, researcher, and pharmacologist with extensive experience in integrating pharmacology into medical education and advancing innovative research in ion channels, cancer biology and eukaryotic translation mechanisms.
Dr. Kadir completed his Ph.D. in Pharmacology at the University of Cambridge, UK, where he led projects on the nanoscale mobility of ionotropic glutamate receptors, publishing groundbreaking findings in Neuron. He then pursued postdoctoral research at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University, focusing on molecular mechanisms of ribosomal hibernation and eukaryotic translation, and at Case Western Reserve University, leading studies on F-box proteins within the SCF-E3 ubiquitin ligase complex for targeted cancer treatments.
Dr. Kadir's academic journey includes positions at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine, PA and the University of Asia Pacific, Bangladesh. His teaching portfolio spans a wide range of pharmacology topics, emphasizing student engagement and problem-based learning. He is passionate about equipping future medical professionals with the knowledge and skills to tackle complex healthcare challenges.
Beyond teaching, Dr. Kadir has authored impactful publications in journals like BMC Psychiatry, FEBS Letters, and Neuron.
