About
Laura Gerstner joined the PA Program faculty in 2010 after working clinically at Emerge Ortho in Durham, N.C. She has served as the Director of Clinical Education and the Associate Program Director, before being named the Chair & Program Director in June 2024.
Gerstner completed a Master of Science in Health Science from the George Washington University and a Master of Healthcare Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Most recently she completed a Doctor of Health Science from Campbell University in August 2024.
She is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and is licensed by the North Carolina Medical Board as a PA. She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the North Carolina Academy of Physician Assistants. She currently serves as a Director at Large for the PA Education Association (PAEA) Board of Directors.
