About

Dr. Catherine Lewis Wente is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice at Campbell University. She is an Internal Medicine Clinical Specialist and the Program Coordinator for the Internal Medicine PGY2 residency at Duke Regional Hospital. She graduated with a Doctorate of Pharmacy from West Virginia University and completed a PGY1 residency at St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead, Kentucky. 

Dr. Wente is an instructor in the Campbell PharmD and PA programs as well as the Duke PA program. Her research areas of interest include anticoagulation management, neurology, nephrology, inpatient diabetes management, and educational principles and practice. She is the coursemaster for a neurology elective and offers research opportunities for P3 and P4 students. She enjoys being involved in Interprofessional Education (IPE) and is an active member of several committees on campus.
